Donate To Caring for Life

Every contribution you make goes towards a more suicide resilient community. All donations are eligible for a 2.5 times tax deduction.

Caring for Life is an approved Institution of a Public Character (IPC). Donations and corresponding details need to reach Caring for Life before end of the year in order to qualify for tax assessment in the current year.

Do donate to Caring for Life (CFL) because suicide prevention is not only about responding in moments of crisis — it is also about building the support, resilience, and community care that can help prevent a crisis from worsening. CFL equips ordinary people, families, workplaces, and communities with practical skills to notice distress early, support safely, and encourage help-seeking. Through initiatives such as LIFE Training, LIFE Chat, youth support programmes, and public education efforts, every donation helps strengthen a more caring, connected, and suicide-resilient community in Singapore.

About the campaign

1 More LIFE Chat is Caring for Life (CFL)’s community campaign to strengthen suicide prevention and suicide resilience—one more conversation, one more person equipped, one more community made safer.

Suicide prevention is not only about stopping an attempt. It is also about building protective factors that keep life steady: emotional resilience, early support skills, and meaningful connections that reduce isolation. Many people still don’t know what to say or do when someone is struggling—this campaign helps change that.

When you give to 1 More LIFE Chat, you are supporting all of CFL’s upstream work, including:
1) LIFE Chat (introductory awareness): Short, practical sessions for the public and workplaces to recognise early signs of distress, respond with confidence, and connect someone to appropriate support.
2) LIFE Training (core skills-based training): Deeper capability-building—how to identify early suicide ideation and escalating risk, how to have a safe supportive conversation, and how to encourage help-seeking and link to resources. Over 4,000 participants have been equipped, and >99% reported higher confidence in supporting someone with suicidal ideation. Train-the-trainer pathways are supported where appropriate.
3) Workplace enablement (e.g., LIFE@Work): Learning sessions that strengthen psychological safety, peer support, and early intervention at work.
4) Community engagement & ecosystem-building: Partnerships across sectors to strengthen networks, because prevention works best when communities work together.

CFL was formally established in April 2020. Our founding team—brought together by Dr Sally Thio as early as late 2018—was supported by esteemed leaders such as Mr Hsieh Fu Hua and Mr Keith Chua. CFL has been approved as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) with effect from 19 January 2026, and donations may qualify for tax deduction under the Charities Act 1994.
